An identity that helps a communications business communicate

Convey Communications is a PR and content specialist — "celebrating all things communications and content". Founder Kristly Bartlett needed a brand that felt clear, approachable and confident. The signature is a custom wordmark framed in a speech-bubble mark: the business's purpose expressed in the logo itself.

Overview

Purpose expressed in the mark

A communications business is judged on how clearly it communicates. The brand had to embody that in its first impression — so I built the identity around a custom wordmark set inside a speech bubble, making the point before a single word is read.

Problem

Clear, approachable, confident

The brief was tone as much as form: an identity that felt warm and human without tipping into casual, and confident without feeling corporate — and one that held together across every place a small agency shows up.

My role

From mark to full system

I led creative direction and built the identity end to end — logo, palette, illustration style and voice — then applied it consistently across the business's touchpoints.

Process

A calm system with a warm voice

A calm teal palette, a warm flat-illustration style and a consistent voice tie the system together across brochure, flyer, stationery, apparel, email signature and web. An animated version of the mark brings it to life for digital.

Final design

One friendly system, applied

The mark, palette and illustration style carried across collateral, stationery and digital.

Outcome

A brand that communicates clearly

A cohesive, friendly identity that helps a communications business communicate clearly — which is, after all, the whole point.

Reflection

Restraint and consistency

The strongest brand systems say one thing well and repeat it with discipline. Convey works because every touchpoint carries the same calm, confident voice.
